I hate being a day late, but I was looking for a specific reference photo. I never found it, so settled on the one from when Alec was born.

Today’s painting is inspired by a Wednesday micropoem.

As you may (or may not) know, our school is starting a House system next year. There are 4 houses and the admin team has been distributed amongst the houses. We went to RCA. Got pumped up! We had a retreat together. Very kumbaya.

Yes, I buy from a MLM, I like the product. Shouldn’t that be the reason you buy something?

I am seriously tired of ghosts, which is why today’s poetry prompt, haunted heart, spoke to me so much. For 9 years we have been haunted by ghosts in my house. Can I just say, I’m over it?

Today’s prompt is “scripted.” I wasn’t sure what I would paint and then I decided to paint planet fact sheets for our science hall at school.

I started this set of tubes yesterday for “strung together” and then my brain didn’t want to add the people. So I had tubes and water 🤷🏼‍♀️

When I visited my parents in June, Mom took me to the library for a craft session. We glued strips of paper onto construction paper animals. Very relaxing, and could be an easy activity in the classroom.

Finished. Actually read it in one day. Much of the book contained stories @kimbearden tells in her presentation at #ronclarkacademy - but now I have them forever.

So I’ve had this mixed media collage for a few years. It was supposed to be like a coral reef.

Today’s prompt was float (again), so I thought I’d start a series. I really love (and miss) the water in my life.
